Frog Hollow Farm

Warren Pears & Cheese Box

Regular price $74.99
Unit price

The Warren pear is Frog Hollow Farm's signature pear and for good reason. It has a classic European texture - very soft and juicy with a silky sweetness and is devoid of the typical grittiness found in most pears. Chefs love this rare variety featured in Oprah Magazine and Martha Stewart LIVING. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or not, you’ll enjoy these pears and cheese.

Enjoy your fruit with either the award-winning Original Blue from Point Reyes Farmstead or creamy artisan Carmody cheese from Bellwether Farms. The Original Blue is sweet and creamy with a medium to strong punch of Blue flavor, and the Carmody is a mild cow’s cheese, offering a great taste and texture without overpowering the sweetness of our organic fall fruit varieties.

Great customer service, pears impressive but 1 problem.

I gave this as a gift and asked delivery be delayed for a certain week and my request was immediately tended to. The cheeses (I got both in this box) were very well received. The pears were deemed "the biggest we've ever seen." However, 1 pear had fungus that infected from the bottom of the pear (where the flower parts once were), and rotted out some of the core. The skin was also tough but the inside was sweet. For the price, I would have expected all to be in good condition.

My gifts of these were all well appreciated by family in Iowa and North Carolina.
