Open Faced Toast with Warren Pears, Brie Cheese and Hot Honey

Warren pears are currently in season, and their delightful notes of mango, pineapple, and vanilla make them a highly prized ingredient.

This recipe yields two toasts.

Ingredients:

  • Two slices of Acme Hella Wet Levain
  • 1 Warren pear, stemmed, deseeded, and sliced
  • 4 slices of Brie cheese
  • 1 shallot, sliced into full moon shapes
  • Meyer lemon to taste
  • Olive oil to taste
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Thyme leaves to taste
  • Hot honey to taste

Method:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Arrange the ingredients on the toast slices as desired.
  3. Place the toasts on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Broil the toast for 2-3 minutes on each side to achieve a golden finish.
  5. Carefully remove the toasts from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes.
  6. Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
