Filled with Portobello and Shiitaki mushrooms, a hint of goat cheese, and thinly sliced organic leeks, these handmade empanadas are best when served straight out of the oven. They are an excellent choice for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.

This product is perishable and ships frozen. Keep frozen until baking. Pre-heat your oven to 400°. For convection ovens, lower the given temperature to 375°. If your pastries brown too quickly, cover them with a loose sheet of foil. We include parchment sheets with each shipment and recommend that you use them to line your baking tray. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Very Tasty with Light Flaky Crust!

Be sure to put brush the egg on top for a nice golden brown flaky Emapanada. The filling is very tasty!

I’m sure that the only drug in these is love, but I’m addicted! Seriously, the leeks and mushrooms are farm fresh, the pastry light and flakey, and there’s the perfect amount of goat cheese to bring together and enhance all the flavors. Perfect for any meal when you want something satisfying without being heavy.
They come quickly and well packed and iced.
The only bad thing is that the farm isn’t next door so I can run over, pick up a weekly package, and hug the bakers. 😊
