These are a family favorite and requested by my adult children as their birthday gift! And I love that it reminds them that they should move back to the SF Bay area :)) so that they can get Frog Hollow at the Ferry Building!!
Iâve never made my own empanadas and never will, with these available. The crust was flaky, really flaky. Leeks and mushrooms are a lovely vegetable combo. Did an egg wash and baked at 400 degrees per side. Thank you for sticking the landing on these!
what is in the empanada is excellent' but I would suggest a little more filling and less pastry.
These are some amazing empanadas!!! My hubby LOVES leeks. I meanâŚhe REALLY loves leeks, so this was the perfect Fatherâs Day gift for him. Follow the instructions but they do take about 8-10 mins longer in our oven. AndâŚthey are the original hot pockets, so make sure you ALWAYS let them sit for a good 5-10 mins before even serving them. Otherwise, youâll have 2 days of a burnt tongue and the roof of your mouth. đđ
