The Crimson Gold Apple is a classic American Heritage apple. While it's a crab-apple hybrid, it is larger and sweeter than most crab-apple varieties. It was bred by Albert Etter in the 1930s in Humboldt County, California. This variety was lost for decades, but thankfully, it was re-discovered in Etter's orchard.  Crimson Gold is perfect for fresh snacking and a prized ingredient for pastries, jellies, chutneys, and cider.

LOVE THIS APPLE!

Small in size but huge in flavor!
We cut them up and enjoy as an amazing healthy snack. Perfect for that sweet sour crispy taste.

Really tasty little apples

I was surprised at the size of these little gems but once I tasted them I was hooked. The flesh is somehow different in a good way and the flavor, spectacular!
Will get these again. I thought our friends horse would really like them, but we ate all of them before I could try them on the horse.
