Sometimes, I would get a box of fruit that I had not tired before. To my surprise, they were very delicious! So I would order the fruit based on what I discovered from that membership Farm Box.
I have enjoyed almost all of the fruit I received. Sometimes there have been bruises and occasionally past prime conditions. Also some have not ripened at all. Pluots we most likely to not ripen. The Arkansas red apples have good flavor but the texture is not nearly as good as the pink lady apples. My last shipment included a mango with good taste but had some bruising. The pink lady apples were fine and the tangerines were very good.
First box and a little disappointed… apples were a bit old and dehydrated and blood oranges didn’t have much flavor. I’ll give it another month or two and see if the quality improves. I am am a bit spoiled by fabulous citrus from my own yard, but I’m also eager to support small farms
The box was a little basic for the price. There are always a couple bruised pieces of fruit, which I would never pick out in a store.
The freshness is great! My favorite are the peach mangoes and pears
