Rice Pudding with Warren Pears, Dried Apricots and Walnuts

Rice pudding served in a blue ceramic bow with chopped walnuts and sliced Warren Pears.

Be sure to try this simple, rich and family friendly rice pudding recipe utilizing our organic dried apricots and luscious Warren pears.

  • 2 cups of water
  • 3/4 cup of short grain rice
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • Bring to boil then turn down to medium low cook for 7-8 minutes
  • In medium sauce pan add 2 cups of cream
  • Add sugar, 1/2 vanilla pod, cinnamon, and cardamom powder
  • Bring to a hard simmer
  • Add cream to the rice and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes
  • Add chopped dried apricots
  • Add 2 eggs and melted butter off heat into the saucepan
  • Plate and Serve with chopped walnuts and sliced Warren pear
