The Kettleman Apricot is a rich, golden orange-red apricot with a beautiful, lightly floral aroma and a bit of tartness that apricot fans love. Smooth-textured and tangy-sweet, Kettlemans are named after the California town near where the variety was bred and tested.

These attributes not only result in a pleasing, classic apricot flavor - they attest to the uniqueness of our region's growing conditions. Warm days, cool nights and Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta breezes result in a more plump, flavorful fruit than what you typically find in the grocery store.

For our apricot season, the Kettleman matures early, reaching its full size and developing a sweet, balanced flavor profile by early-to-mid May. The Kettleman is great for eating out of handhand or is an excellent apricot for slicing into salads.

Our regenerative organic practices not only produce great fruit, but they also provide important ecosystem and climate benefits. We build soil health by composting, planting cover crops, and not tilling. The soil contains thriving communities of beneficial microbes and fungi that fertilize our trees. And we are fighting climate change by building the carbon storage capacity of our soil. Our orchards store an average of 29 tons of carbon per acre – that’s the equivalent of taking 1,488 passenger vehicles off the road for one year!

We do not ship over the weekend. Perishable orders placed after 5:30AM PST Wednesday will not ship until the following week without expedited shipping. If you have missed the deadline please call and we will try our best to accommodate your order.

"BEST apricots!!"

"I have always loved apricots but am always disappointed in what I find in stores and now I can enjoy fresh apricots again thanks to Frog Hollow Farm. My husband has never been a fan of apricots but these have made him a HUGE fan. Truly delicious and well worth the cost of the product and shipping costs. Do yourself a favor and don't miss these when they come into season again next year!!!"

Half of my apricots were not ripe and the other half were damaged.

Too early in the season?

The apricots arrived in fine enough shape. I waited like a week to let them become perfectly ripe, and even then they were very hit or miss between sweet and sour. Maybe just too early in the season…

Beautiful apricots

These apricots were the color you always imagined- oranges with hints of rose. They were lovely, after they ripened. They arrived hard and slowly ripened and were delicious

Good but not as great as I have come to expect

They were an early harvest, so I was not expecting peak quality. That said, it was not my faborite Grog Hollow order. I found comparable quality at oeganic grocers in NY.

Great Apricots

Finished 4lbs of Kettleman Apricots and wish I had more. Sweet, great colour, took a few days to fully ripen. Too bad I have to wait another year for more.
