There is a wonderful feeling inside when eating a sweet risotto tartlet. That's because there is something sensationally wonderful inside your mouth when eating them. Flakey crust, warm "rice pudding" and with just the right amount of sweetness that you can't help but make that mmmm sound. Life never seemed so good. I think I'll go have another.
This was my first time trying these tartlets. They were yummy. Just sweet enough. And creamy.
What an absolute delight, an indulgent one at that. But with time, and a lot more baking and eating, I see how precise one has to be in terms of baking and temperature and timing. There's a "sweet spot" for the right consistency of the delicious center's "custard" and getting the dough cooked just right.
I think I will go back to the Sweet Risotto Buttons because the portion is plenty, and easier to cook to perfection than the larger Tartlets. Either way, the recipe is delicious and the dough wonderful. And I could keep eating the Tartlets! I need the portion control, thank you very much!
Sweet Risotto Tartlets-well my best advice is just don't buy a 6 pk! lol My mom eats very little BUT she sure eats your products no problem! For that, I am thankful. She's in her 90's with dementia. Great find!
