Filled with Portobello and Shiitaki mushrooms, a hint of goat cheese, and thinly sliced organic leeks, these handmade empanadas are best when served straight out of the oven. They are an excellent choice for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.
Pastry Dough: Organic flour, organic butter, water, organic sugar, salt.
Filling: Organic leeks, Portobello mushrooms, Shiitaki mushrooms, organic butter, cream, goat cheese, organic olive oil, salt.

This product is perishable and ships frozen.
Keep frozen until baking. Pre-heat your oven to 400°. For convection ovens, lower the given temperature to 375°. If your pastries brown too quickly, cover them with a loose sheet of foil. We include parchment sheets with each shipment and recommend that you use them to line your baking tray. For a golden brown crust, brush the dough with cream, milk, or an egg-wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

I’ve never made my own empanadas and never will, with these available. The crust was flaky, really flaky. Leeks and mushrooms are a lovely vegetable combo. Did an egg wash and baked at 400 degrees per side. Thank you for sticking the landing on these!
what is in the empanada is excellent' but I would suggest a little more filling and less pastry.
These are some amazing empanadas!!! My hubby LOVES leeks. I mean…he REALLY loves leeks, so this was the perfect Father’s Day gift for him. Follow the instructions but they do take about 8-10 mins longer in our oven. And…they are the original hot pockets, so make sure you ALWAYS let them sit for a good 5-10 mins before even serving them. Otherwise, you’ll have 2 days of a burnt tongue and the roof of your mouth. 😆😉
