A unique hybrid of Ichang papeda (a primitive citrus) and a sour mandarin orange creates the wonderful Yuzu Fruit. Originating in China, the Yuzu is most recognized for its wide cultivation in Japan. Giving zest a new meaning, the rare golfball size Yuzu fruit propels a fascinating fragrance. Yuzu enhances juices, soy sauces, miso toppings, ponzu sauces, and vinegars with its zest. Yuzu’s less sharp and more subtle flavor than lemon, allows its fruitiness to enhance great flavors. The slightest cut to Yuzu green-yellow rind allows the most distinct complex aroma of lime, lemon, and grapefruit. Pleasant aromatic zest from fresh Yuzu is the rage at high-end restaurants, for cocktails, savory dishes, and sweets.

Doubling down!

The order was great! They waited to ship due to fires or snowstorms, or both, which was perfect because by the end my yuzu traveled as little as possible and had plenty of shelf life after arrival. Fruit was great! Will be ordering again soon!

I love Yuzu!

It’s very rare to find organic Yuzu. But I need Yuzu for winter Japanese food. Because I use the Yuzu peel, organic ones are great!

The Yuzu fruit is not a fruit that many people come across. It is a fruit from Japan that is unlike any other citrus found in the market. It doesn’t have much juice but the little but it does carry, along with its zest, provide so much bright flavor to everything from the sauces to elegant desserts.
