Roasted Warren Pears and Red Onions

This agrodolce combination of Roasted Warren pears and red onions will be the talk of at your holiday and family gatherings!

Roasted Warren Pears

Ingredients

  • 2 Warren pears, cut into quarters and cored
  • 3 Medium sized red onions, cut into a blossom or into 8 pieces
  • 6 ounces of unsalted butter, thinly sliced
  • Quality balsamic vinegar to taste
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Season the pears and the onions with salt and pepper, and toss. Place a parchment paper and spread mixture in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Scatter thinly slice butter on the top and roast, turning pieces occasionally, until golden brown, about 40 -50 minutes.
