Asian pears or Nashi are also known as Apple Pears. They have a refreshing crunch reminiscent of an apple but are genetically true pears.
Shinko Asian pears have a flesh that while still crunchy has a more melting mouthful. This exquisite combination of textures makes Shinkos especially enjoyable to eat of out hand. They are very sweet with a mild pear taste. Their round shape and beautiful bright color lend these fruits a distinctively autumnal feel. Our regenerative organic practices not only produce great fruit, but they also provide important ecosystem and climate benefits. We build soil health by composting, planting cover crops, and not tilling. The soil contains thriving communities of beneficial microbes and fungi that fertilize our trees. And we are fighting climate change by building the carbon storage capacity of our soil. Our orchards store an average of 29 tons of carbon per acre – that’s the equivalent of taking 1,488 passenger vehicles off the road for one year!
We do not ship over the weekend. Perishable orders placed after 5:30AM PST Wednesday will not ship until the following week without expedited shipping. If you have missed the deadline please call and we will try our best to accommodate your order.
