Also called the "Honeybell" because of its shape, the Minneola tangelo has a bright, tangy flavor described as having the acidity of grapefruit balanced with the rich sweetness of a tangerine. Compared to other citrus fruits, the Minneola tangelo is distinguished by a larger size, slightly elongated neck and vibrant orange flesh

Grown from winter into spring, Minneola tangelos are best eaten fresh and provide a source of vitamin C. The thinner, easy-to-peel skin makes them perfect for a snack at home or on the go. Due to similarities, a Minneola orange can substitute a mandarin in various recipes. Find some inspiration for sauces, desserts and more among our citrus recipes.
