For a golfball-sized piece of fruit, Kishus pack a tremendous amount of flavor. They have exceptionally sweet flesh with a bright finish and an easy-to-peel rind that conveys a beautiful citrus fragrance. This highly prized fruit is grown by only a handful of farmers in California and Florida of which we are excited to join. Enjoy our first harvest of organic Frog Hollow Kishus.

Our regenerative organic practices not only produce great fruit, but they also provide important ecosystem and climate benefits. We build soil health by composting, planting cover crops, and not tilling. The soil contains thriving communities of beneficial microbes and fungi that fertilize our trees. And we are fighting climate change by building the carbon storage capacity of our soil. Our orchards store an average of 29 tons of carbon per acre – that’s the equivalent of taking 1,488 passenger vehicles off the road for one year!

Little surprises

What unique fresh, and tasty mandarin! We have never had these before, and we’re surprised how easy they are to peel. We will order them again

The Kishu Mandarins were indeed small the size of golf balls so that wasn’t a plus. However, its very small size made up for its sweet flavor although it was quite pricey. I would prefer a larger sweet mandarin orange so I wouldn’t order it again at that price point.
