Cream Cheese Frosting


  • 8 oz (one package) cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 oz butter (softened)
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)


Cream the cream cheese and butter together. Add powdered sugar slowly, while machine is on low (so the sugar doesn't fly up).

After all the sugar is incorporated, mix on high until fluffy, add the zest and mix for a few seconds more. Frost cake immediately or chill and the let warm up at room temperature for an hour or so.

Refrigerated frosting will keep 5 days in the refrigerator.
