Farmer Al's Weekly Pick: Apricot Gift Box, BBQ Trio

Bing is King!

There's no question, Bing is King. Our dark, delicious Bing cherries are picking now. Father's Day is coming up, so keep the king of cherries in mind. Here are my top picks for other gifts:

Summer barbeque time has started. Becky has brought back her Spicy Apricot Barbeque Sauce, a thick delicious sauce with a flare of Indian spices. She's made up a BBQ Trio including her Navel Orange Marmalade and Apricot Conserve for a unique mix-and-match combo for experimenting on the grill. The apricots we're picking now have all the right sugars and textures to slice and put on the grill. For a handsome gift combo, I'd recommend a box of organic apricots and the BBQ Trio.

We're starting to ship the Summer Sampler fruit program, which highlights the top variety of each of our crops in six total shipments. This is your last chance to order the program and begins with Bings, right on time to give Dad a sampling of the best coming from our trees.  Finally, our Care Package in its Summertime edition. This is a great mix of fresh fruit and healthy snacks and my personal gift of choice for any occasion.

Out in the orchard the Gold Dust peach, our first summer variety, will be ready in about two weeks. If Dad won't mind a belated box, it's an amazing peach that has meltingly soft flesh and is exceptionally sweet for the first of the summer. Gold Dust peach Pre-Orders are online now.  Both the Gotta Have My Peaches program and Peachy Picks will begin with the Gold Dust.

Happy summer.

Organically yours,
