This decaffeinated blend of Indonesian and South American coffees is flavorful and full-bodied. The bean is decaffeinated in its green bean state, before the delicate oils are developed through roasting, leaving its original tastes and aroma in the beans for a rich and satisfying cup. It is impossible to tell that this is, in fact, a decaf!
Royal Select Method aka Mountain Water Decaf Process
Decaffeination is achieved by soaking the fresh picked green coffee beans in large vats of the purest water, from the highest glacier mountains in Mexico. Â This process initiates the release of the beans flavor, as well as caffeine, into the water.
This pure, supercharged water is then stained through a patented specialty filter that pulls most all of the caffeine from the water, yet retains the full flavor that originated from the bean. Â Once filtered, the flavorful mountain water is reintroduced to the drier beans that quickly absorb the water, with the entire flavor.
The original integrity of the beans flavor stays intact without the caffeine and without chemicals, which, in turn make an incredible decaf!

How the beans are grown: Alta Organic roasts only the finest-organic, Arabica beans from coffee farms located throughout Central and South America, Indonesia, and Africa. Traditional, shade-grown coffee shrubs are grown beneath a canopy of native forest trees, which filter carbon dioxide and aid in soil moisture retention. Organic farming methods promote healthy ecosystems, while safeguarding the health of farmers and their families. These practices are in direct contrast to many modernized coffee farms, which utilize synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and contribute to deforestation, soil erosion, contamination of water reservoirs, and the destruction of habitat. Alta Organic is committed to the environmental, and social health of our producer and consumer communities.
