Gift Recipient said they were sweet. .So I am confused. I hope this gift was acceptable. I am wondering if this should be addressed by frog hollow to explain that pluots are natural and organic and may have surface imperfections but that the fruit should be sweet and delicious. Quality products are very important when sending a gift that is expensive and is essentially a few pieces of fruit. Primo quality is the desired goal.
I am sooo sorry the season of the pluot is behind us. (Not that I don't like whatever lies ahead...) These fellas arrived rock-hard two weeks ago, and they haven't fully ripened yet. Some of them have started getting a tad wizened, which I take as a sign it's Time to Eat, and the ones I have eaten are delicious. Very tart, with a lot of crunch -- certainly different from their high-summer cousins. Never met a FHF pluot I didn't like. If I can stop eating them long enough, I'm thinking of trying them baked, maybe a little whipped cream on top.
Firm and crunchy but sweet! Very happy to enjoy this great!
As always: perfect, delicious, juicy fruit. I especially love Frog Hollow Farm plums and pluots. They are the best!
