Both the rind and inner flesh deepen in color from a pale orange to burgundy with exposure to cold temperatures. Sanguinelli blood oranges develop their distinctive red and orange streaks in response to fluctuations in temperature, so each year's crop is different. The greater the swing between warm days and cool nights results in more pronounced the streaking of the flesh. Subtly or boldly streaked, each Sanguinelli is a showcase of vibrant flavor and captivating color that is a delight to the senses.

I have ordered both varieties of frog hollows blood oranges I look forward to them every year they are exquisite and while the small ones are difficult to peel a sharp kind of knife makes it entirely worthwhile superb product

It is not as sweet as the Moro but overall good

Very Nice, sweet & Tart Oranges

I enjoyed these blood oranges better than the moro oranges. Their flesh is not as dark red/purple as the moro blood oranges but their taste is sweet/tart with notes of cherry and raspberry. Very good for juicing.
