Our first crop of certified organic almonds, from trees planted in 2018, is a food you can feel good about. We grow the variety Independence which produces beautiful large nuts with a sweet flavor and a delightfully crisp bite.
Independence almonds are self-fertile removing the reliance on commercial beehives for pollination. At Frog Hollow Farm we love bees and all pollinators so the self-pollinating character of these trees hasn't stopped us from planting a diversity of cover crops in the understory of our orchard to provide habitat and sustenance for bees and other beneficial insects. Our cover crops also build soil fertility and retain water in the soil. We are proud to count ourselves among less than 1% of CA farmers who are growing almonds organically. Given that CA produces over 80% of the world's almonds and 100% of almonds in the US, eating our delicious organic almonds is something you can feel good about!

We ship our fresh fruit and other perishable foods next-day and second-day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with a next day option on Thursdays. This way, your order will arrive by week's end and won't sit in a warehouse over the weekend. If you order on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, please allow for additional shipping time.
