The cherry, spring’s first fruit, has been cultivated since about 300 B.C. and was named for the Turkish town of Cerasus. For centuries the cherry tree has been valued for its beauty and succulent fruit. In the United States sweet cherries are grown primarily in Washington, Oregon, and California.

Here in California, under the brilliant, hot sun, sweet cherries are grown in the perfect climate, making our ‘Bings’, a luscious dark red, super sweet cherry, the iconic cherry of your dreams.

Store cherries in the coldest part of your refrigerator, usually near the back. If you don’t plan to eat ripe cherries within six days it is best to freeze them.

CHERRIES WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL SPRING 2010.
