Hi. I’m Robert and I am an accountant that has been working for Farmer Al for about a year. Several months ago I moved to Pennsylvania for family reasons and Al agreed to ‘give it a shot’ with me working remotely, a decision which coincides perfectly with the innovative nature of how things are run at Frog Hollow Farm. It has been working wonderfully, but I did have one huge worry: I won’t be at the farm on a daily basis during the next harvest season to dutifully sample each variety of fruit fresh from the orchard! This was one of the best perks of being an employee of Frog Hollow Farm; there is always plenty of outstanding organic fruit to satisfy your appetite.

Look what arrived today! My absolute favorite cherries, the Brooks, landed on my doorstep! Normally they don’t ship the Brooks Cherry because they tend to have thinner skins and won’t hold up as well during a UPS transit. They tried it out and the fruit arrived in remarkable condition. In talking with the folks at the farm, the growing conditions this year allowed them to grow in such a way that they were better suited for the journey. Brooks cherries are my favorite because they are a little less sweet than Bings and Rainers but rather a little more tart or acidic. That suits the sour/bitter personality of this old bean-counter well.
As it turns out, we won’t starve in Pennsylvania thanks to UPS and the sharing nature of Frog Hollow Farm.
